Weekend Purchases

hai der

I'm off school today so I thought why not do a quick post and I thought I'd tell you about what I purchased on the weekend. I'm lucky enough to have an Outfit very close to my house, which has many brands inside it to purchase clothes from but my favourite two are Topshop and Miss Selfridge. It's very convenient having an Outfit so nearby as it eliminates the annoyance of delivery charges.

First up is a 'Black 90's Square Crop Top' from Miss Selfridge, priced at £8. This also comes in white and 2 other slightly different designs but very similar called '90's Square Crop' and '90's Curve Neck Crop' are available in colours like red, green, light blue, black, white etc. However this is my favoured design, primarily due to personal preference. I bought it in size 8 but was hoping for size 6 or 4, which is in fact available online. I think this style of top goes best with jeans rather than leggings, however would still be suitable. I don't think it would work well with a skirt however it's whatever suits you best!

I apologize for the camera quality for the picture on the left but that is what these 'MOTO Topshop Joni Jeans' look like on, in comparison to the online picture. They were £38 and I bought them in W26 L32. If this isn't the suitable size for you, the jeans sizes available for Topshop go up in 2's ranging from W24 to W36 and L24 to L36. Obviously this style isn't for everyone but I strongly recommend them to anyone as they are really comfortable and suitable for all weathers. I realise the rips may not be for everyone but Topshop also have this style without the rips in different colours too! and if you aren't into Joni jeans there are also Mom, Boyfriend, Jamie, Leigh, Baxter and there is a Tall, Petite and Maternity range too.

Thanks for reading and come back soon for my next post!

Topshop Socks

hai der

Earlier this evening I was at Topshop with a couple of my friends, I was set out to buy some black ripped jeans however walked out with 3 pairs of socks! I'd wanted one of the pairs for quite a while and realised another girl at my school had them and I thought they looked really cool! As there was an offer on, I thought why not...

This is a picture of all 3 of them. Individually they are all £3.50, however the offer was 3 for £8, which I thought was really good for Topshop. I've noticed this offer previously, however never actually bought any socks, but I assume this offer would be consistent throughout each shop.

If you can't quite make each design out, the far left sock is black and sparkly, they also do it in two other silver styles if you'd prefer something brighter. My only critique with this design, is that the material isn't the ordinary soft, comfy sock material, if you know what I mean! It is a little bit rough on the outside but isn't as noticeable on the inside.

The middle pair is grey, it looks almost white or a very pale grey in this picture, however it is actually a few shades darker. As you can see, this pair also has some black lace around the top, which personally I think is really cute.

The pair on the far right is the exact same style as the grey pair, but in black and also with black lace. I also have 2 other pairs, one dark blue with black lace and the other, light blue with white lace. But they're also sold in many other colours with varied lace colours too.

My only bit of advice would be that I noticed as I was paying that Dorothy Perkins also did socks almost identical to these, but with slightly different colours, some more girly than these; which obviously other people may prefer. The Dorothy Perkins offer was also 3 for £6, so a couple of pounds cheaper. It probably sounds a bit stupid for not going with the Dorothy Perkins offer, but I preferred these colours and they didn't do a sparkly one either.

As the picture above isn't very clear, I took some individual ones so you could have a closer and clearer look...

Thank you for reading and I hope I gave you some sock ideas and advice ;)

Noir et Blanc

hai der

I thought I'd show you my black and white Topshop and Dr Marten favourites! I've recently had an obsession with Dr Martens, which isn't a good thing because they're so expensive! But loads of my friends have been purchasing some, so why not? My birthdays coming up, so hopefully I'll get enough money to buy a pair:) I've always loved Topshop, so I thought it'd be a good idea to give you a few ideas.

This is from Topshops' PETITE collection and if you want to search it on the site, it's called 'Deco Lace Bralet'. It's £25, which personally I think is quite a lot for a bralet, but it is very detailed and we all know Topshops' prices don't exactly resemble Primark! I think it would look really nice with jeans of any colour for summer, and in colder seasons, a grey cardigan would look really stylish. Obviously, this bralet style or wearing a bralet in general mightn't be for everyone, however it'd just an idea and I love it!

I have a pair of Miss Selfridge plain black jeans already, however I've wanted some with rips in the knees for a while. Personally, I think they look really cool and are really versatile, in the sense that they can be worn in any season. These are Topshop MOTO 'Black Ripped Jamie Jeans', priced at £42. I know this is very expensive but Topshop jeans last much longer than any other jeans I've bought and fit perfectly. Also, I may sound really strange but there's just something about saying "I own a pair of Topshop jeans", I don't know what it is but it just feels good to say!! :')
This jumper is £50 from Topshop, I think is really funky and who doesn't love bacon?! I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend £50 on a jumper, but there's no fault in dreaming...If however you're lucky enough to purchase this item, I think it would work best in a slouchy/casual outfit, for lounging around in your house or something like that. However, I'm sure it would work for going out of your house to, maybe with some black leggings. I've never seen a piece of clothing like this and I feel would appeal to many people, and having 'bacon' illustrated works really well and makes it even more unique. to find this on their website, search '**Classic  Bacon Hoodie by Illustrated People'.

I've always wanted a style of top like this, however have never found one that I really like for a decent price. When I saw this on the site I was so pleased that I'd finally found this style, for a reasonable price and in a lovely pattern! It's called '**Dana Crop Top by Motel' and is priced at £22. I've also really wanted some co-ords for a while as well, however I'm not too keen on the matching skirt but I thought I'd show you anyway as obviously not everyone has the same fashion taste as me!

I saw this top on the weekend in Topshop with my best friend and I remembered seeing it on Beyond The Velvet's blog and I love it! It's something really unique and I like the astronaut helmet, as I think it's an extra touch that hasn't been seen before. It's £22 and personally I think it's a bit expensive as it's just a black and white graphic T-shirt, but in a way you're paying for the brand too; and if you really like it that much, it's worth the money. If you want to search it on Topshop, it's called 'I Need Space Tee by Tee and Cake'.

This top is called '**Folly Crop Top by Motel'
and is priced at £18. I think this would be an ideal top for Summer and would look great with a pair of black jeans or blue mom jeans. Obviously it would look good with the majority of trousers, however that's just my personal opinion of what I think would look best.

This is the final top and it may not be everyone's cup of tea but I really like it and I think it's really cool and different. The design is the same on the back and in case you hadn't realised, it's a gorilla. It's called '** Gorilla Crop Top by Illustrated People' and is priced at £32. As lovely as this top is, I don't think I could ever bring myself to spend £32 on a crop top.

A couple of my friends have the '1460' Black Boots and I love them! They're so cool and go with absolutely everything. Some people don't like the yellow string, but personally I think it's the extra touch that makes the overall shoe look so much better. The black boot is priced at £100, and if you want them in other colours or patent the price may vary. The '1461' shoe is £90 and Ii think looks best with baggy jeans, however similarly to the boot, would go with anything. I really like both of them and if I was lucky enough to own both of them, I'd wear the boots with leggings and skinny jeans and the shoes with my Mom jeans or with skinny jeans also.

Finally, this is my favourite pair of docs, they're called 'Bethan' and are priced at £130. I know this may seem very expensive but I love them so much and they're so original. I know many people might not like them but personally I think they're really cool and I love the clumpy style.

Thanks for reading and I hope I gave you some extra clothing ideas and that you enjoyed this post. I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who's followed me and have gotten me to 60 followers in just over a week!

MAC Lipstick

☯hai der

This next post is just going to be reasonably short, but I felt like posting today and one of my best friends Hannah is keen to see more posts on my blog! I decided to tell you a bit about my MAC lipstick that Hannah bought me for Christmas. I did ask for it but was still really pleased when I opened it, even more so when I realised she'd bought me some Cadbury's Daim, as it's one of my favourite chocolate bars.

These are just a few pictures just to show you the box, lipstick case and the lipstick itself. I really like the box and case as I think it makes the overall look quite professional and precise. The colour is 'Rebel' and it was £15, if you can't quite make it out here, it's a dark purple shade.

Sorry for the bad quality, but this is the lipstick on, quite subtly. I used a 'smudge eye shadow' brush to transfer the lipstick minimally from the container to my lips. I did this so I could control how much I was wearing and I wanted to go for a faint, sophisticated, overall look. However this isn't everyone's 'cup of tea'.

Some people prefer a bold, vivid look, so this picture is with the lipstick applied 'correctly'. Some lipsticks' colour changes from what it looks like on the container to when it's actually on your lips; however MAC luckily doesn't appear to do this. Personally, I prefer this look as I think the subtle shade is more girly and I guess that's not really me.

So thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed it and I definitely recommend the MAC lipstick and make sure you check out their other products!

Chokers

hai der

As you know from my previous post, I decided to tell you about my chokers. I've been wearing them a lot recently and they seem to be quite in right now. There are so many different varieties of chokers, but I'm going to tell you about the ones I wear.

I thought I'd start off with something relatively simple, like my tattoo choker. I really like this choker because it goes with anything and looks really cool. I know this sounds quite stupid, but when I first put on this choker, obviously you have to stretch it over your head to get it on; but it made it quite loose and I thought I'd completely broken it! But it turns out after a while they go straight back to normal and adjust to the size of your neck. The same goes for when you remove it too. You can get tattoo chokers from many shops, but mine specifically came from Topshop, when I was shopping with my friends. I got it for £5, which may seem quite expensive but it seems to be the general price for chokers and unless you lose it, it'll last you forever! I thought I'd suggest some other shops, if you don't have a local Topshop, so here are a few that I know of: New Look, Asos, Ebay and Amazon, but like I said you can get them from so many other shops. To conclude this choker, some people like chokers that aren't just black so lucky for them, chokers are now being sold in multiple colours.

This is just an example of some of the colours that tattoo chokers are sold in. Others may be: multi-coloured, dark blue, white, grey, dark green, white etc. But buy whatever suits you...
My next choker is a tattoo choker but with a Ying Yang symbol attached to it. One of my best friends Tiegan bought me this for Christmas, I did ask for it but I was so pleased when I opened it! This is £2.99 from New Look and once again can be worn with pretty much anything. Obviously, this is almost identical to the ordinary tattoo style, but I feel this style makes more of a statement.
This next choker doesn't have the tattoo style pattern, instead just a 13inch black waxed cord. It may be a bit hard to make out, but the emblem is a pepperoni pizza. I really like this because it's a bit different and really cool and who doesn't love pizza?! I got this from an online shop called Silver Moon and they sell many other chokers like this with different emblems and necklaces that appeal to all people, so check it out!
This choker is very similar to the previous one as it also has the same cord and came from Silver Moon too. However, I chose to buy one with the Saturn emblem. I like it because it's quite distinct and contributes to a grunge look. A little bit more information on Silver Moon...their prices range from £4-£6, depending on what you're purchasing. They ship worldwide, come in a pretty little bag with a message saying 'thank You!' and if you spend over £20, you receive a free gift.
This final photo of mine, is just to show you layering of chokers. Chokers look good on their own but if layered appropriately, can look even better! Some people layer 2+ plain tattoo chokers together which I think looks really good. Personally, I don't think a plain tattoo choker layered with a tattoo choker with an emblem is very effective but my favourite chokers to layer are the ones shown in the photo to the right. I think the cord and tattoo pattern look well together and to be more specific, I prefer it with the tattoo choker at the top.

Well that's it for this post, but thank you for reading and I hope I helped contribute some choker ideas and information. My next post will be on my MAC lipstick. Thanks again.
